Mad World Charing Cross hits the small screen

Very recently London was lucky enough to get a brand new channel on the EPG - London Live. As well as showing classic episodes of London set sitcoms such as Spaced, Peep Show and Misfits, the channel has plenty of original programming all about London. Last week, Mad World's Charing Cross branch featured on comedian and presenter Jeff Leach's new show "Jeff Leach +1". The show follows Jeff as he explores London's most unique and alternative nights out with the viewer as his "plus 1"! You can watch the full show on catch up on London Live's website here.

Lucille talked Jeff through some ideas on what to wear for the "Dark Circus Party" - a very popular event created by legendary fetish club Torture Garden and expert party people Bourne & Hollingsworth (Belle Epoque, Blitz, Prohibition). The Dark Circus Party invites you to step over to the dark side with a surreal and subversive party, indulging in the thrill of disguise with sequins, costumes and masks. Wave goodbye to all that is ordinary, pack up a disgracefully dazzling outfit and immerse yourself in a party that embraces the weird and wonderful world of the circus.

The strict dress code will be enforced however there are plenty of options for a fabulous costume. The official website suggests "Opulence, Glamour and Fantasy with a Dark Circus Twist: Ring Masters, Burlesque Showgirls, Leopard print leotards, Tattooed Ladies, Sideshow Freaks, Queens of the Flying Trapeze,Animal Masks, Clowns, Snake Charmers, Lion Tamers, Strong Men, Venice Carnival Masque Ball, Berlin Kabaret, Steam Punk, Top Hat and Tails, Feathers and Corsets, Decadent Dandies, Beautiful Ballerina’s, Ball Gowns, Cocktails Dresses, Dashing Vintage Suits." The next event is on Saturday 31st May at Bloomsbury Ballroom.
