Testing Ideas For An Out Of This World Summer

Hugely popular spring event London Rugby Sevens has announced their 2015 theme: Space! Rugby Sevens has proven to be a massive event on the fancy dress calendar for us so we are preparing early this year in anticipation of even bigger demand!

From the official England Rugby website:

"Last year’s Monster theme was a cracking weekend stuffed full of fantastic rugby action, some wild moves, both on and off the field, and some brilliant fancy dress efforts. With record breaking crowds again coming through the turnstiles, surpassing the records set at the 2012 and 2013 events, 2015 has a lot to live up to."

With this in mind we are preparing a whole range of hire costumes, as well as costumes, accessories and make up to buy. More on this nearer the time!

For today though, I have been adding ideas to Mad World's Pinterest board for the Rugby Sevens event and decided to test out the galaxy make up tutorial. I wanted to see how easy it was to replicate, how long it would take and what product lines we offer in store worked the best.

This was incredibly easy! We don't stock the products featured in the tutorial video so I sponged on Smiffys water based paints in blue and lilac and painted the stars on with white then finished with a generous amount of silver glitter spray.

It only took me about five minutes! So why not give it a try? You can accessorise with a bright wig and star shades like I've done or just leave it as it is for a hint of out of this world glam.
