Any excuse for fancy dress - March

Spring is well and truly in the air and March presents us with loads of opportunities for fancy dress! Red Nose Day is on Friday 15th March and as always, they are encouraging everyone to "do something funny for money".  

Naturally, we would encourage the dressing up option for having fun and raising money for a good cause. You could use our selection of various hats, wigs, masks and make-up in your own version of the Harlem Shake craze and have people make a donation to take part. You could persuade your boss to let you come to work for a day in your pyjamas or fancy dress for sponsorship. You could even combine the two ideas and hire one of our vintage night-dresses or nightcaps! Alternatively you could keep things simple and dress in red for the day. Add a red wig with your Red Nose and you're set!

St Patrick's Day is always a good excuse for fun and fancy dress, so this March 17th why not join around 110,000 revellers in Trafalgar Square from noon to 6pm, where traditional and contemporary Irish bands create a festive atmosphere, and food and drink stalls sustain the merrymaking. A parade of floats and marching bands – not to mention the 36-metre-long Puca, a giant inflatable dragon – winds its way from Park Lane to the square via Piccadilly, Regent Street, Pall Mall and Whitehall from noon to 2pm. In Trafalgar Square, there will be traditional and contemporary Irish music and dance on the main stage along with a dizzying array of other activities and events. For the first time the festival will feature a comedy tent, hosted by the London Irish Comedy Festival and a film tent screening shorts by Irish filmmakers. A special food market and kids' area are just some of the other attractions on offer at this day-long festival. Throw on your best green garments and join the fun! We have plenty of green hairspray, face paint, false eyelashes, hats and other accessories to bring out your Irish side!

Easter falls early this year and we expect our bunny costumes will be popular on the last weekend in March! We have full bunny rabbit costumes for hire as well as accessories for sale such as ears and face paints.
